gainesville ho!!!

i'm in gainesville, florida, for 2 weeks vacationing and checking out the university. i've never seen a school with a campus so large. it's spectacular. there's a whole building designated to study entomology. the city is smaller than asheville, but there's a more diverse culture and has all the privately owned businesses that i like about asheville. the music scene is bigger as well - really good bands tour here weekly. it's been super sunny, even when it rains. and lots of nicely tattooed people.

i like it here.

i woke up this morning to a swollen lip. when i left asheville, i had a small cut inside the piercing. i thought it would go away. nope. i went to a piercing shop down the street and had them remove it. oh well. so much for snakebites. they were too high maintenance.

yesterday, we went to the florida museum of natural history. they have a butterfly room and a massive fossil collection. an amazing 17 foot ground sloth!
